Cutting Guide

Dessert Serves: 5 cm x 2.5 cm + 3 cake layers

Coffee Serves: 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm + 3 cake layers

One

Remove all decorations before cutting, including the section of buttercream where fresh flowers have sat against. If there are multiple tiers, remove cake boards and supporting dowels prior to cutting the bottom tiers.

Two

Start with an aerial view of the cake. Roughly mark your cut lines.

Click to download a PDF of cut lines for each cake size.

Three

Slice vertically downward the entire length of the cake with a hot, sharp knife. Separate the cut slabs of cake onto a cutting board.

Four

For each slab, make multiple, evenly-spaced, vertical cuts. Then make one horizontal cut in the middle.

Five

Each serving consists of three layers of cake and two layers of filling. Serve at room temperature and enjoy!
